Plan chaise count against peak-day attendance rather than deck square footage, and specify stackable frames if you store over winter. Wet swimsuits move between the deck and the terrace, so the same chlorine and sunscreen exposure applies here even though it reads as a dining space. The fix is to separate approval from delivery. Get the quote and the committee approval in the fall, lock the current year's pricing, and take delivery in spring. If your fiscal year won't release capital until spring, a written quote dated in the fall still gives your finance committee a firm number to budget against.
One more timing note if you're buying in phases across budget years: ask, in writing, how long the specific color and finish you chose will remain available. Discontinued finishes are the reason a lot of club pool decks end up in two shades.
Commercial furniture warranties are segmented by component, not sold as a single number. A typical structure runs fifteen years on the extruded aluminum frame, five years on strap breakage but only two on strap fading, four years on the powder-coat finish, and two years on sling fabric, cushions and umbrella fabric. The frame almost always outlives the fabric by three or four times, which is why re-strapping is often the right call instead of replacement.
